All Bambo Nature diapers are produced in Denmark by the Abena Group. Abena was established in 1953 and is one of the world's pioneer diaper manufacturers.
The diapers have been tested at an independent dermatology lab in Germany, where the products have been certified to be neutral to the skin and consequently safe to use for babies.
Bambo Nature has obtained a long list of certifications relating to health, safety, social, and environmental standards from various independent certification bodies such as Asthma & Allergy Denmark and the British Retail Consortium ensuring maximum transparency and certifying that Bambo Nature is the safest choice for your child. The certifications exist to make sure that you don't have to take our word for the quality of our products - everything is documented and scientifically tested and approved.
The Abena Health Certificate is a certification provided by the manfucaturer listing all raw materials and ingredients to ensure maximum transparency and to prove that Bambo Nature contains zero harmful substances for both child and environment.
The Nordic Swan label is a prestigious recognition obtained by the manufacturer for its adherence to strict health and environment-friendly practices from collection of raw materials through to the finished product. The Nordic Swan guarantees that Bambo Nature is certified safe for both child and environment.
The pulp used in the production of the Bambo Nature range comes from sustainable forestry, which means that more plants are planted than felled and no harmful chemicals were added in processing it. This ensures no over-exploitation of natural ressources takes place.
The entire supply chain behind the production and distribution of Bambo Nature nappies is regulated and scrutinized by independant certification bodies to ensure that precautions are taken every step of the way to guarantee that the environment is protected as much as possible. This includes the production facilities, where 95% of waste is recycled, as well as the sourcing of raw materials which avoids exploitation of natural ressources, making Bambo Nature one of the most eco-friendly nappies on the market.
Bambo Nature has been named ‘the best performing diaper’ by BABY GEAR LAB, coming out on top in a study of diaper performance and scoring 82 points in the study, far exceeding the 2nd place winner scoring only 67 points. Bambo Nature diapers are guaranteed to absorb a minimum of 900 ml.
Bambo Nature has been carefully developed through decades of product innovation to ensure a perfect fit to any baby of any size within each range.
Bambo Nature diaper nappies contain a small amount of two kinds of SAPs, one of which is a starch-based bio-superabsorbent, which is 100% biodegradable. The second is a high quality, permeable superabsorbent made of acrylic polymer. The manufacturer, Abena, is currently working with suppliers to use only a starch-based bio-superabsorbent, while still maintaining their excellent quality standards.
